Unforgettable day with WIM Ivette García and Kulsum Qasim

Last Tuesday, July 8th, Club Escacs Pardinyes experienced a spectacular day that, as president, fills me with pride.

We had the honor of welcoming two incredible figures from the chess world. WIM Ivette García Morales, who came specifically from Chihuahua, Mexico 🇲🇽, offered us an unforgettable simultaneous exhibition. Her human and chess quality is exceptional, and personally, I am very happy to have managed a draw against her!

Additionally, we were also visited by Kulsum Qasim, the President of ChessKid at Chess.com, who traveled from Toronto, Canada 🇨🇦!

It is a privilege to be able to bring these international female chess role models closer to our members and, especially, to our children. Their presence not only inspires but also provides crucial visibility to women in our sport. Moments like these are what make a club!

Thanks to Ivette and Kulsum for their generosity and for making that day a journey that will remain engraved in the club's memory.
