Where to play in Lleida
Just moved to Lleida, picking chess back up, or want your child to learn? Here are all the ways to play chess in Lleida: from a relaxed weekday game to competing in official tournaments.
At Club Escacs Pardinyes (Carrer Sant Pere Claver, 1, Pardinyes neighbourhood) there are casual games on Mondays and Fridays from 18:30 to 20:30. You'll meet players of all levels and ages, and the club provides boards and clocks. If it's your first time, message us beforehand and we'll be expecting you.
How to get there and contact →If you want to learn or improve, the club's school has groups by age and level: from reception and primary school to secondary school and dedicated adult groups (beginner, intermediate and advanced). The first class is a free trial.
Chess School timetable and prices →Throughout the year we organise tournaments open to everyone, such as the Pardinyes Festa Major Tournament, the Christmas Tournament, the Bordeta and Alcarràs tournaments, GM and IM closed tournaments and simuls with masters. There is also the calendar of rated tournaments of the Catalan Chess Federation in the Lleida area.
Pardinyes Festa Major Tournament →If you want to compete regularly, you can get a federation licence and play the Catalan team league with the club, as well as officially rated tournaments. It's the best way to measure your progress.
How to get a federation licence in Lleida →Between sessions you can practise online on free platforms such as Lichess. If you play tournaments, our ELO calculator tells you how many points you'll win or lose in each game.
ELO calculator →No level required and nothing to bring. Message us and we'll tell you the best day to come to the club.
