Simul with WIM Ivette García and Kulsum Qasim

Today was a truly memorable day at Club Escacs Pardinyes! 💚♟️ We had the privilege of welcoming two prominent figures in the world of chess, who are a clear example of the importance of having high-level female role models in this sport, especially for our children and young promising players:

First, we enjoyed a fantastic simultaneous exhibition with WIM Ivette García Morales (@chessivette), Director of ChessKid Spanish. Ivette, International Master, FIDE Instructor, and commentator, came expressly from Chihuahua, Mexico! 🇲🇽 Her career as an Olympic player and medalist is a great inspiration.

In addition, we were also visited by Kulsum Qasim, the President of ChessKid at Chess.com! It was an honor to have her presence, coming all the way from Toronto, Canada! 🇨🇦

It is good and necessary to have women of this level to give more visibility to women in chess and inspire new generations. It has been an incredible opportunity for all our players and members, especially for the youngest ones, to meet and share with such relevant figures. Many thanks to Ivette and Kulsum for their dedication and for making this day an unforgettable experience!
